WPP has announced the acquisition of Imaginet, an US-based e-services consultancy. This is the second deal the group has made since the new year, following the purchase of Deen + Black on Wednesday (see WPP Buys US-Based PR Firm), and continues its strategy of developing new media interests both internally and through new ventures.
Imaginet develops advanced e-business solutions and took revenues of $12.5m last year. The company has previously worked closely with J. Walter Thompson, and today’s deal will allow WPP clients access to further technology support for enhanced marketing and business solutions.
