Mondo Could Return To The Market
Mondo, the magazine suspended by Cabal Communications, may be revived in a “matter of months” if the market gets less tough, according to Sally O’Sullivan, Cabal’s chief executive.
Speaking at the Total Publishing show at London’s Earls Court today, she said that while they had suspended the publication of Mondo, to go “back to the drawing board” she feels that: “80% of Mondo was spot on while 20% needs more work.”
Mondo, which is aimed at the “mature but not necessarily older male reader,” launched in October last year (see Cabal Offers A “World Of Pleasure” For Older Lads) but was suspended in May 2001.
Cabal Communications also publishes Front in the more traditional lads mag mould. Front saw an increase in the last ABC results, when its circulation figures reached 150,693.
