Interactive Deal For Sky Sports And Two Way TV

Sky Sports and Two Way TV have announced a partnership to develop new interactive programming for Sky Digital viewers.

Sky Sports, whose interactive service offers viewers on Sky Digital a choice of match coverage, through a range of viewing options, is to team up with Two Way TV, which offers live play-along interactivity and programming related games. The partnership will develop new enhancements which will be available through live interactive sports coverage on Sky Digital.

Chief executive of Two Way TV, Simon Cornwell, said: “The combination of Sky Sports coverage and renowned interactivity with Two Way TV’s unique ability to deliver live interactive games to the home will create a new and potent viewing experience. We confidently predict that this will demonstrate the huge appeal that innovative enhanced TV games and services hold for digital audiences.”

Executive director of Sky Sports Active, Piers Croton, added: “Working with Two Way TV gives Sky Sports a great opportunity to develop our interactive portfolio and continue to offer viewers an enhanced sports service.”

The potential popularity of interactive television was demonstrated last week when the BBC’s Wimbledon interactive service attracted more than 1m viewers in its first day.
