Yahoo! UK And Ireland Appoints New Sales Manager

Viacom Outdoor’s agency sales manager, Nick Fawbert, is to join Yahoo! UK and Ireland as sales manager, with responsibility for developing relationships with planning and buying agencies.

Fawbert, who will be involved in developing Yahoo’s client services department, will be working closely with sales director, Alison Reay, who also previously worked in Viacom Outdoor’s XTP department (see Yahoo! UK And Ireland Appoints New Sales Director).

Prior to joining Yahoo! and working at Viacom Outdoor Fawbert held positions within the more traditional print media arena at The Daily Telegraph, BBC Top Gear Magazine, Stuff and Maxim. Managing director of Yahoo! UK & Ireland, Martina King, commented: “Nick is a great addition to the sales team and his experience of working with traditional media will be an asset.”

Yahoo! has been hit hard by the advertising recession, cutting 400 jobs world wide and undertaking a broad-based restructuring plan.
