The Times Launches New Property Supplement

The Times Launches New Property Supplement

The Times is expanding its offering with the launch of a new weekly property supplement Bricks and Mortar at the start of September.

The new supplement will be 32-pages long in a stand-alone tabloid format and will be included in Friday’s edition of the paper. It will only be distributed in southern editions of The Times and will be backed by a cross-media advertising campaign. John Trickett, advertising director for The Times newspapers, commented: “Twenty percent of business people who own property for investment purposes read The Times. Bricks and Mortar will give advertisers the opportunity to target this market.” Bricks and Mortar will feature analysis of trends in the housing markets, columns and advice for first time buyers and investors. This new supplement follows the launch of The Game, a weekly football supplement included in the paper on Mondays(see Times Launches Football Supplement). According to the monthly ABC results for July The Times has seen circulation decline by 2.1% year on year to 704,586 down from 719,861 in June 2001.
