Storey Departs Media Audits After Seventeen Years

John Storey, new business director at Media Audits, is leaving the company after nearly seventeen years.

Storey, who also sat on the Media Audits Group board, has performed a number of senior roles for the company including running the UK business, large scale account handling, agency pitch adjudication and most recently leading Media Audits’ new business drive. He is leaving the company to “reflect, regroup and relax”.

Commenting on the timing of his departure, Storey said: “The company is in great shape and has a clear vision of where it wants to go. I am forty next year and feel as though if I don’t take this year now, I never will.”

Julian Spooner, chief executive of Media Audits, added: “John’s passion and commitment are legendary in the media business. He has been a major force in driving Media Audits Group to where it is now. I and my colleges wish him every success on the future.”

Storey, who began his career at Bates and then Benton & Bowles, will be on “gardening” leave for the next six months in order to maintain confidentiality whilst he hands over his clients. During this time he will also continue to manage two large client projects.

Last month Media Audits appointed Mike Larkin as UK managing director to coincide with its brand relaunch. Larkin, who brings extensive experience in marketing and strategy to his new role, will oversee the company’s UK business and will work to bring it in-line with the new Media Audits brand (see Media Audits Appoints New UK Head).
