Bauer Media has promoted Martin Ball to commercial managing director of its Hits Radio brand network, while Claire Foster becomes commercial chief operating officer at Bauer Media Advertising.
Ball has worked at Bauer Media for over two decades, and had been regional commercial director of Hits Radio network for close to two years. Prior to this he was managing director of Wave 105, Bauer’s South Coast regional station which is now a part of the Hits Radio brand.
In his new role, Ball will lead on sales strategy, policy, and structure across the network’s local markets.
Meanwhile Claire Foster, who first joined Bauer’s strategic delivery team in 2019, will assume leadership across the media company’s national brands and the overall strategy for Bauer Media Advertising, while taking on the additional leadership responsibility of the commercial operations team.
Prior to joining Bauer, Claire had served as group business development director at newsbrand publisher Reach plc.
The new appointments come following the promotion of former chief revenue officer for radio, Simon Kilby, who assumed leadership of Bauer Media Advertising as its new managing director last month.
Commenting on the changes, Kilby said: “Strengthening our commercial structure is a key part of the development of our UK radio proposition for listeners and advertisers.
“Martin and Claire both bring a wealth of experience and strategic vision to Bauer Media Advertising, and we’re delighted to be further enhancing our offering for commercial partners.”
The changes take place with immediate effect.
