GMG Radio Appoints New Deputy Sales Director

Guardian Media Group Radio has appointed Julian Carter as deputy sales director, with responsibility for developing local, regional and national sales across the Real and Jazz FM brands.

Carter will report to group sales director, Jon Hewson, who commented: “I know Julian’s ability from working with him at Century and I am delighted that GMG has got him on the team.”

Julian is to join GMG at the end of the year, he is currently working for Capital Radio Advertising as a regional sales director.

The Real Radio brand broadcasts across central Scotland, South Wales and Yorkshire. Jazz FM broadcasts throughout London and Manchester and is a recent addition to Guardian Media Group’s portfolio after a £44.5m take-over (see Jazz FM Agrees To £44.5m Takeover By GMG).
