Global appoints MG OMD’s Mark Halliday to run DAX

Global has appointed Mark Halliday, previously chief digital and data officer at Manning Gottlieb OMD, as director of its Digital Ad Exchange (DAX).

Halliday will start his role at the digital audio and programmatic outdoor advertising platform in early 2022 and report to chief commercial officer, Mike Gordon.

He will work with Katie Bowden, director of commercial audio and Chris Forrester, director of commercial outdoor.

Mike Gordon, Global’s chief commercial officer said: “We work with brands who want to reach audiences creatively, and use data to make marketing investment more personal. Mark’s experience of data and mobile, combined with helping some of the biggest brands in the world, makes him perfectly placed to deliver the exciting opportunities presented by DAX.”

Previously Halliday progressed to CEO of Omnicom Media Group Performance, APAC after other roles at the agency over nearly six years before becoming Manning Gottlieb OMD’s chief digital and data officer in January 2019.

He commented on his new position: “It was always going to take a really special opportunity to lure me away from MG OMD but with Global I believe I have found a new home and role that seems tailor made for my skillset.”
