IPC Signs GlaxoSmithkline Deal For Woman Special

IPC has signed a two-tier multi-brand ownership deal with GlaxoSmithkline for a Woman Family Health Special, part of the Woman Feel Good series. The deal includes straight display ads and editorial deals.

Sophie Ward, who was responsible for brokering the deal from IPC’s end, said: “I’m delighted that the planners and buyers at Mediacom have bought into this- I was told a year ago that such a deal was unlikely because of the ‘vast amount of cooperation’ it would involve between the Glaxo brands.”

Brands set to use the display ads include Horlicks, Eumovate, Corsodyl and NiQuitin. The editorial side of the deal will incorporate branded “tip boxes” for Nytol and NiQuitin featured throughout the magazine and on-page promotions for the GSK, Macleans and Oxy websites.

The title is one of 36 specials planned by IPC Connect this year, up from 32 last year. Woman Family Health Special goes on sale tomorrow.
