Rivals Marketing Chief Quits For New Venture

The marketing director Rivals Digital Media, Chris Reed, is to leave the sports website company to set up a sports and consumer marketing consultancy called Chris Reed Marketing (CRM). It is believed that Reed will not be replaced.
As marketing director of Rivals Reed was responsible for launching the Rivals.net brand in 2000 and became the marketing director of Rivals Digital Media when the company merged with the 365 Corporation’s websites in December 2001.
Reed commented: “I have always wanted to set up my own sports and consumer marketing consultancy. My 12 years of senior marketing experience at market leading consumer brands such as the Times, Take a Break and Emap Radio as well as the Rival’s brand has given me a great platform from which to do this.”
