Country Life Unveils Special Edition

IPC’s flagship country and leisure title, Country Life is launching a special themed issue devoted to England, with four different collectable covers.

The special edition covers will each features a different corner of UK; Flat Moor in Derbyshire, Wharfedale in North Yorkshire, the White Cliffs of Dover and Bideford in Devon.

Commenting on the initiative, Michael Hall, deputy editor of Country Life, said: “We wanted to celebrate a country that is often rather embarrassed about celebrating itself. We could not decide what photograph to put on the cover, so we decided to produce four covers with each of these wonderful images summing up the region in which they were taken.”

The decision to offer four different covers for the issue was due to the Country Life team finding it impossible to decide on a cover shot that perfectly summed up the whole of England. The four covers would be used to ensure that the north, east, south and west of England were each included in the issue.

IPC recently achieved record advertising revenues for the current November issues of 25 Beautiful Homes and its spin-off title 25 Beautiful Kitchens (see IPC Claims Record Ad Revenues At Home Interest Titles).
