Granada Secures One.Tel For ITV Comedy Sponsorship
Granada Enterprises has secured One.Tel to sponsor ITV1’s coverage of this year’s British Comedy Awards.
The deal will see the telecomms company become the main broadcast sponsor of the award ceremony on ITV1, as well as two shows on ITV2 entitled Countdown To The British Comedy Awards and The Fun Goes On.
The deal was negotiated by Ella Fletcher, sponsorship executive at Granada Enterprises and Sue Wills, head of sponsorship at Unique Communications Group. Wills said: “It’s great to be working with One.Tel, they are the kind of brand that really fits the spirit of the British Comedy Awards.”
Granada Enterprises has also secured T Mobile as the six-figure sponsor ITV1’s live broadcast of The Record Of The Year 2003. The deal includes sponsorship of a half-hour countdown show a week before, as well as The Record Of The Year – Celebrity Choice immediately after the live event on ITV2.
Earlier this month Granada Enterprises secured ski specialist, Scott Dunn, to sponsor the new Snow Reports on the ITV News Channel (see Granada Secures Sponsor For ITV News Snow Report).
