IPC’s flagship music title NME is producing a special one-off magazine to coincide with this summer’s Glastonbury music festival.
The first ever Glastonbury special will launch next month with never before seen photos of artists and festival goers out in the fields. The one-off issue will also highlight the biggest names to have performed at Glastonbury over the years and will provide information on acts tipped to make their mark on the festival in 2003.
Artists featured in the one-shot magazine will include Oasis, Radiohead, Coldplay, Robbie Williams and REM.
Steve Sutherland, editorial director of NME, commented: “The NME has celebrated every Glastonbury since 1970 and we have all the highs and all the disasters on record and we are pleased to publish this magazine, which will interest seasoned festival veterans and innocent bystanders alike
Meanwhile, IPC’s dance-focussed Muzik magazine has secured a reciprocal marketing arrangement with the Mean Fiddler Music Group to promote the forthcoming We Love Homelands Festival.
Muzik will receive branding at the festival and will sponsor a special live arena and information point. In return, Mean Fiddler Music Group will provide the magazine with branding on all Homelands’ advertising and publicity including fly-posters, programmes and posters for ticket agents.
