The inaugural Top 50 Women Gamechangers in TV has been revealed.
The initiative was devised by The Media Leader and Videonet, who are behind the global market-leading conferences The Future of TV Advertising Global and Connected TV World Summit, to recognise the brilliant women who are changing, influencing, and driving disruption across the historically male-dominated TV ecosystem.
There are representatives from Canal + Brand Solutions, CBS Corporation, Channel 4, Google, GroupM, ITV, Roku, Seven West Media, Sky, The Walt Disney Company, Thinkbox, thinktv Canada, ThinkTV Australia, and Zenith UK.
The Media Leader‘s editor-in-chief Omar Oakes said: “Everyone in advertising and media should take a moment on reflect on the work that these 50 outstanding women do to make the TV industry stronger, not just in their home markets but internationally, too.
“We all know there aren’t enough women working in leadership positions in media, let alone in TV, and for every gamechanger we celebrate today we hope to inspire several more that will succeed them one day as pioneers of tomorrow.”
