Parbury Resigns As Editor Of Ideal Home
Jane Parbury, editor of the UK s biggest-selling homes magazine Ideal Home has resigned to concentrate on new career challenges.
Prior to her editorship of Ideal Home, Parbury was editor of IPC s 25 Beautiful Homes and launch editor of 25 Beautiful Kitchens.
Commenting on her departure, Yvonne Ramsden, publishing director at Ideal Home, said: I should like to take this opportunity to thank Jane for her commitment and contribution to IPC during her time with us. She is an enthusiastic editor, a good colleague and has worked tirelessly to raise the profile of the title within the industry and with consumers. I now wish Jane every success for the future.”
Parbury added: “It’s been great fun working on the 25 Beautiful titles and Ideal Home, particularly with such brilliantly-talented people, and I d just like to say a big thank you to them all.
According to the latest ABC results for the six months ending December 2002 Ideal Home saw its circulation increase by 13.2% year on year to 277,105 from 244,870 in the same period in 2001 (see ABC Jul-Dec 2002: Home Interest Sector Hit By DIY Dismay).
Earlier last month the National Magazine Company announced plans to close Your Home magazine in order to focus on its House Beautiful title (see Natmags Closes Your Home After Circulation Slump).
