Sharewatch: WPP Falls After Gloomy Outlook From Havas

Advertising group, WPP was seen in focus yesterday, with stock falling 3.67% after French peer, Havas, reported a sharp deterioration in fourth-quarter European revenues.

All eyes were on the magazine sector as the ABC released magazine circulation figures for July to December 2002 (see ABC Jul-Dec 2002: Success For Celebrity Magazines). Emap was seen down 1.28%.

There was a scramble to get out of Reuters on the stock market yesterday, over fears that it will report a poor set of annual results next Tuesday. The stock was seen down 1.28%.

Elsewhere, investors will await results from BSkyB, which will be released later today. The stock was seen up 0.78%.
