Sharewatch: WPP Declines On Gloomy Market Sentiment
Analysis reveals that WPP was the media sector’s biggest decliner, down 8.15% week on week. The stock was seen under pressure following continued bearish sentiment on the sector, which has been exacerbated by a negative outlook from French peer, Havas.
Elsewhere, Capital Radio was seen in focus on reports that Chris Tarrant is set to take three and a half month holiday from his breakfast between, which many predict will result in an exodus of listeners. The stock was seen up 3.03%.
Cordiant was also under pressure, on reports that its banks are pressurising it to sell off assets in what could amount to the break-up of the group. The stock was seen stable at 27.5p.
