SRH Confident Of Revenues Growing By 9% In 2004

Scottish Radio Holdings (SRH), has said that an ‘excellent’ performance in radio and press has fuelled 2004 expectations and the group now predicts full-year revenues to be a healthy 9% ahead of last year.

In a trading update issued this morning, the group said like-for-like radio revenues are estimated to be up 9% for the twelve month period to 30th September 2004, reflecting expected improvements of; 7% in national advertising revenue, 12% in local advertising revenue and 7% additional income from sponsorship/promotions.

Press revenue from its 45 local weekly newspapers is estimated to have grown by 9% over the year, with advertising and circulation revenues increasing by 9% and 6% respectively.

Chief executive, Richard Findlay, said: “SRH is well-placed with its market-leading local radio companies, expanding regional radio portfolio and popular weekly press titles, to continues to develop the group both organically and by acquisition. The board, therefore, views the immediate and long-term future with confidence.”
