ITV Expected to Announce Profits Rising as Audience Dips
ITV is due to report its interim results this week, and the industry will be hanging on its view of the TV market for the second six months of the year and beyond.
The first six has seen ITV hit hard, with revenues down by 14% in the second quarter year on year, while share of viewing fell three points to 20 per cent from December last year.
However the city may not be as concerned as the advertising industry analysts are anticipating pre-tax profits up 37% year on year at £175m for the six months to June, driven by heavy cost-cutting.
