ITV1 dominated peak time again last night, as I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here‘s double bill brought an average adult viewing share of nearly 27% across the key 8pm to 11pm band.
Last night was the first live eviction for the show, with Toby Anstis having the unfortunate honour of being the first celebrity to be booted off.
The first, hour-long, edition sustained a viewing share of over 30% for the duration of the show, peaking at nearly 7.2 million adult viewers, while the second eviction edition maintained share of 31%, with an average of 6.1 million adults.
Kay Mellor’s drama Strictly Confidential was sandwiched between the two Celebrity shows, and average 4.6 million adults, peaking at 5 million towards the end as viewers returned to the channel for the climax of IACGMOOH.
BBC One’s dramas The Innocence Project and The State Within both achieved adult viewing shares of around 13%, however the channel was beaten not only by ITV1, but also by BBC Two with Coast and The Catherine Tate Show.
Five’s coverage of Newcastle’s UEFA cup tie against Celta Vigo managed a peak of nearly 2.2 million shortly before the end of the match, as Newcastle clinched a 2-1 win in the last five minutes.
