MediaTel Group To Hold ‘The Future Of The National Press’ Seminar

MediaTel Group Logo MediaTel Group is pleased to announce the fifth in its successful seminar series, ‘The Future Of The National Press’, featuring several high-profile guests including event chair and BBC media correspondent Torin Douglas, a panel debate and audience Q&A session.

With newspapers feeling the effects of declining readership figures, MediaTel Group’s seminar and debate will focus on what lies ahead for the mutable British press.

The industry’s struggle to adapt to evolving consumer demands will prove a lively topic in the debate, as will the influence of freesheets and the battle between cyberspace and paper.

Special guests will include; Mark Gallagher, press director Manning Gottlieb OMD; Dave King, executive director at Telegraph Newspapers; Mike Rowley, classified and digital ad director at the Evening Standard; Stuart Taylor, commercial director of Guardian Newspapers; and Ray Snoddy, the media commentator and analyst.

Space at the comprehensive session is limited and tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. ‘The Future Of The National Press’ will take place at One Great George Street in Westminster, London, on Thursday 20 July between 9.30am and 11.45am. Tickets are priced at £110 + VAT.

A discounted copy of the National Newspaper Executive Report plus a ticket for the seminar can be purchased for £235 + VAT. The National Newspaper Executive Report, prepared by MediaTel Group’s MediaTel INSIGHT team for distribution in July 2006, is being offered at a £50 discount to all those attending the seminar.
