Pinsent Pulls In The Viewers For Who Do You Think You Are?

Matthew Pinsent It was the last in the current series of Who Do You Think You Are? last night, and the show had a peak audience of six million adults, a 29.8% share of the audience.

Yesterday’s episode followed Olympic rowing legend Matthew Pinsent as he traced his family history, and an average of 5.9 million adults (a29.6% share) stuck with him throughout the show’s hour long running time.

On BBC Two at the same time was the double-bill of The Life And Times Of Viviennne Vyle and The Peter Serafinowicz Show.

The Life And Times Of Viviennne Vyle had a peak audience of 964,000 at 9pm (a 4.9% share of the audience), with an average of 880,000 adults sticking with it for its half hour duration.

The Peter Serafinowicz Show, meanwhile, on for half an hour at 9.30pm, had a peak of just 786,000 adults (a 3.9% share).

Over on ITV1 at 9pm was tense drama series, The Whistleblowers, which follows an agency set up to support those uncovering injustice.

The fast paced show had a peak of 2.6 million adults (a 13.2% share) and an average of 2.4 million adults stayed with it for its hour long running time.
