Emap’s Heat magazine is launching its website next Tuesday aiming to give its readers the latest celebrity news combined with the most up-to-date web 2.0 offerings.
The new website, heatworld.com, will combine interactive blogs and user profiles along with many other interactive elements.
The launch of the website will give Heat a digital presence across radio, internet and mobile.
The launch is being handled by Heat digital editor, Julian Linley, who will report to editor-in-chief Mark Frith.
The latest ABC figures, for July-December 2006, revealed that Heat had a total circulation of 598,623, an increase of over 4% year on year.
Kurt Edwards, digital head of sales, said: “Heat is unique and a huge brand that offers advertisers a trusted environment in a very busy women’s market. Its magazine, radio, mobile and online presence will allow us to deliver some exceptional campaigns and commercial opportunities.”
Digital agency Splendid designed and built the new website.
