Emap Advertising has appointed Adrian Serle as radio sales director, reporting to Karen Stacey, broadcast sales director at Emap Advertising.
Serle joins Emap Advertising from Kerrang! 105.2, Emap’s West Midlands-based rock music station, where he was managing director.
In his new role as Emap Advertising’s radio sales director, which he takes up on March 19, Serle will manage all aspects of radio sales and drive Emap Advertising’s commercial strategy.
Serle began his career at Emap as commercial director of Hallam FM and Magic, before moving over to Kerrang! in 2004, shortly after its launch.
Serle’s radio career spans 12 years, starting at GWR in Bristol, before joining media independent Radio Works, as media director.
Karen Stacey, broadcast sales director of Emap Advertising, said: “I’m delighted that Adrian is taking on this role at Emap Advertising. His experience speaks for itself.
“Understanding what clients want from advertising partners and how to re-engage our agency customers with the radio medium will be high on his list of priorities. Adrian has the drive and enthusiasm to ensure that Emap Advertising sits at the heart of the radio renaissance.”
Serle said: “I am thrilled to be joining what is already a brilliant team, with so many top quality people. The radio industry is a really stimulating place to be right now, and with so much opportunity, and with so many premier league brands, EMAP is right in the thick of it.
“Being in a position to make a difference, and build on what we have is truly exciting.”
