ITV1 has unveiled its winter-spring 2009 schedule, including a campaign to fight obesity and a Saturday night vampire drama.
The Feelgood Factor will tie in with the government’s Change4Life campaign and launches with an entertainment show in January, culminating with a follow-up programme at the end of March.
Demons, meanwhile, is an ITV1 Saturday night show about vampires starring Life on Mars‘ Philip Glenister.
Saturday nights on the channel will also see the return of family drama Primeval, as the broadcaster looks to strengthen its line-up and go head-to-head with BBC One shows such as Dr Who and Merlin.
Yesterday’s unveiling also saw the first showing of clips from the UK version of American crime drama Law and Order, starring Bradley Walsh.
Other forthcoming shows include a new Chris Tarrant helmed quiz, The Colour of Money and a factual series from funnyman Martin Clunes, Islands of Britain.
The launch of the new shows is the first of ITV director of television Peter Fincham’s reign following his resignation as BBC1 controller last year.
He stepped down after a furore over misleadingly edited documentary footage of the Queen (see Fincham Quits Following Queen Doco Shocker).
