London Lite Hires New Deputy Editor

London Lite London Lite has hired Craig MacKenzie, former Sun editorial executive, as its new deputy editor.

Mackenzie joined News International in November 2004 to work on the Irish Sun but left the company at the end of May.

He managed Trinity Mirror’s titles in the Republic and Northern Ireland for eight years before that.

MacKenzie was brought in by Associated Newspapers last week to work on the London title, reporting directly to editor Ted Young.

The London Lite merged its news desk with Associated’s London Evening Paper in June this year, leading to some redundancies.

MacKenzie, brother of the former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie, replaces Danny Wheeler, who has transferred to Associated’s Mail Online website.
