Heat Radio Signs Andi Peters

Heat Radio Andi Peters is set to host his own ‘Hot or Not’ Monday evening show on heat radio from next week.

The former Live & Kicking presenter, recently a runner up on BBC One’s Celebrity Masterchef, will be reviewing the latest movies, DVDs, books, music and TV shows with celebrity guests for listeners.

Peters said: “I’m looking forward to being part of the UK’s strongest brand for 16-34 year olds. Presenting Hot or Not on heat radio will be great fun as we’ll be bringing the magazine to life on the airwaves.”

Mark Story, managing director of national radio brands at Bauer, said: “We’re all big fans of Andi. He’s a great radio presenter, naturally able to capture the right balance of irreverence and knowledge which will hit the right note with heat radio listeners.”

Emap launched heat radio in September 2007 as the UK’s first celebrity-focussed digital radio station, with sponsorship, promotions and ad-funded programming in place of spot advertising (see Heat Radio To Relaunch With Integrated Advertising).

According to the latest Rajar Figures for the second quarter, heat radio has a weekly reach of 432,000 listeners, up 1.6% year on year (see BBC Radio 2 Weekly Reach Declines But Still On Top).
