Virgin Radio Signs Six Figure Sponsorship Deal With Garmin

Virgin Virgin Radio has teamed up with Garmin Satellite Navigation for sponsorship of its Rock ‘n’ Roll football show.

The fully integrated radio and online deal, which is set to launch as the football season starts, will include pre-recorded trails, in show credits and a series of spotlight ads.

The campaign has been designed to highlight Virgin’s new online tool which shows away fans how to get to and from football games, hosted at www.virginradio.co.uk.

Chris Merrell, marketing communications manager at Garmin, said: “We believe in creative minds and creative spirit both in the development of our products and how we communicate our brand.”

Nic Hewat, sales director at Virgin Radio, said: “This beautiful partnership will be a prime example of how effective targeted sponsorship can be for brands.”
