The Secret Millionaire Banks 3.8 Million Viewers

James Benamor In The Secret Millionaire Channel 4’s new series of The Secret Millionaire was a big success last night, topping the other channels with 3.8 million peak viewers between 9.45pm and 10pm.

The reality programme, which saw entrepreneur James Benamor help three local groups in Manchester’s Moss Side to combat youth crime, picked up an average 14.8% audience share with more than 3.3 million average viewers.

Meanwhile, BBC One’s penultimate Bonekickers pulled in 3.8 million average viewers between 9pm and 10pm but dipped in the last 15 minutes, with only 3.7 million.

The crime drama, starring Julie Graham, gained a 16.9% audience share with 3.9 peak viewers in the first 15 minutes of the show.

ITV1’s Doc Martin attracted an 15.7% audience share with 3.5 million average viewers at the same time – with a repeat of the stag night in the woods episode.

Overall, Channel 4 had a good run with 10 Years Younger pulling in more than 2 million viewers between 8pm and 9pm, peaking with The Secret Millionaire and finally, Big Brother picking up more than 3.4 million peak viewers.
