Lionel Pickering, who sold his Trader Group of newspapers to TRN in 1989, and is now chairman of Derby County FC, has re-entered the newspaper world with the launch tomorrow of the Nottingham Topper – free circulation of 100,000,at least 42 pages promised.
Articles from the Daily Post in Liverpool will be available via the national on-line service, Tel-Me from December onwards.
Security Publications will shut its monthly car modification title, Top Car, in December. The magazine is believed to have had sales of about 25,000, and its closure follows those of Car Choice (Haymarket) and Fast Lane (Perry- Motorpress) in the last twelve months.
