BBC Two’s Dragon’s Den finale banked a peak of more than four million viewers last night, with a 15.8% audience share between 9pm and 10pm.
The last in the series saw pitches from personalised mobile phone ring tone hopefuls, as well as taking a look back at the Dragon’s most memorable investments.
However, BBC One stole the limelight, holding a peak audience from 9pm through to 11pm, with the popular crime drama New Tricks pulling in over 5.5 million viewers during the first hour.
The repeat of New Tricks, starring Alun Armstrong and Amanda Redman, gained a 23.4% audience share with 5.4 million average viewers between the 9pm to 10pm slot.
ITV1’s three-part drama, The Children, with Kevin Whately and Lesley Sharp, attracted over 4.6 million average viewers with a 20% audience share at the same time.
Meanwhile, over 1.3 million peak viewers tuned in to see Andy Murray lose against Roger Federer in the Live US Open tennis on Sky Sports 1 last night from 10pm.
