The Sun is set to kick start its new outdoor poster campaign, featuring a till receipt reading “All for just 30p” to highlight its reduced cover price.
The campaign will appear on more than 10,000 six-sheeter posters and 60 larger portrait sites for a two week period.
Euro ESCG developed the advert to emphasise the paper’s “breadth of content” and new lower price, which was cut to 30p last month by News International (see The Sun Slashes Its Cover Price Across The UK).
Roland Agambar, sales and marketing director at News Group Newspapers, said: “‘All for just 30p’ reminds people of the unrivalled value for money the Sun offers whilst delivering a vast array of award-winning content every day.”
The outdoor campaign, which is being supported by a £1.25 million media spend, will also feature a 30 second radio ad in London and the South-East.
MediaCom will also plan and buy TV space to follow the outdoor ad campaign in mid-October.
