7.6m See Portsmouth Lift The FA Cup

Kanu Saturday saw the FA Cup Final between Portsmouth and Cardiff on BBC One, with the lads from the south coast running out 1-0 winners.

A peak of 7.6 million adult viewers – a 52.7% share of the audience – tuned in to the action, with an average of 4.6 million watching all the coverage.

Later on Saturday, Dr Who attracted a peak of 6.5 million adults, while over on ITV1 the top show was Britain’s Got Talent, with a peak of 8.4 million adult viewers.

On Sunday, Channel 4’s terrestrial premiere of Brokeback Mountain could only manage a peak 2.2 million adults at 9pm.

With the forthcoming return of Indiana Jones to cinema screens, BBC One has been showing the original trilogy, with the final part, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, airing last night.

Considering that it is almost 20 years old, it did remarkably well, with a peak of 7.4 million adult viewers making it the most watched show of Sunday evening.
