The latest research from Mediacells reveals that mobile sports pages were accessed an average of ten times per unique user, with 58% of visits made via Nokia phones.
The data, taken from a survey of 50 million mobile internet pages, also revealed that the peak time for accessing mobile sports pages is 4pm.
Sony Ericsson’s are the top devices for accessing gossip and glamour content, with 42% of this content being accessed on these phones.
If Sony Ericsson pages are combined with pages accessed via Nokia, these two manufacturers comprise nearly 70% of all entertainment content, in this context, appealing to 18-24 year old males.
Similarly, 72% of all business content is accessed using either a Blackberry or a Nokia device, leading Mediacells to the conclusion that when it comes to accessing the mobile internet, it is only the three aforementioned manufacturers who are in the running.
