BT Vision BT Vision has tied up with Setanta to offer its premium sports channel for free with certain BT viewing packages. Its Bronze, Silver and Gold packages will now include Setanta Sports 1 as part of its offering – viewers will simple need to pay the one-off viewing card cost of £10 to Setanta.

The tie-up brings Premiership football to BT Vision – as Setanta has just released details of the 46 live Barclays Premier League football games over the next season (see Football Schedule Kicks Off) – as well as 60 live Clydesdale Bank Premier League games, FA Cup games and World Cup qualifiers.

“We’ve said that BT Vision will be offering the best in all-round entertainment. We now have more to watch than any other on-demand TV service in the country and this includes the very best of sport.”

The service was launched in 2006 (see Long Time Coming – BT’s Vision), with subscriber numbers for BT Vision reaching 214,000 according to the last financial report in May 2008, up from 150,000 in February 2008.
