BBC’s Bonekickers Triumphs With 6.7 Million Viewers

BBC BBC One’s new drama, Bonekickers, attracted a 31.3% audience share last night, with an average of more than 6.5 million adult viewers between 9 and 10pm.

The series, starring Julie Graham and Adrian Lester working as archaeologists investigating mysteries in the past, had a peak audience of 6.7 million adult viewers during the first 15 minutes of the show.

ITV1’s Doc Martin failed to compete with just 3.2 million viewers in the same 9pm peak time slot, gaining only 15% of the audience share.

Earlier, ITV1’s Emmerdale ‘Winner Takes It All’ special went head-to-head with Eastenders between 7.30 and 8pm, only losing out by less than a million viewers.

The one-hour ITV special pulled in 4.9 million viewers when Eastenders started at 7.30pm, while the BBC soap attracted an average of 5.3 million adult viewers during its 30 minute slot.

Channel 4 got a decent audience share for its top three evening programmes, 10 Years Younger, Gordon Ramsay’s F Word and Big Brother.

The end of Gordon Ramsay’s F Word and the start of Big Brother saw the highest viewing figures, with a peak of more than 3.3 million viewers between 9.45 and 10.15pm.
