A Football The makers of Golf Punk magazine are launching a monthly football title tomorrow, Football Punk, featuring an interview with Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard.

The magazine was trialled as a free supplement in Golf Punk last August and had been expected to launch as a standalone title in January but was delayed by a takeover of publisher JF-Media.

The first issue, with a cover price of £2, will have a print run of 50,000 copies be sold exclusively through WH Smith stores.

It is edited by Richard Lenton, a former associate editor of Golf Punk.

Following the takeover of JF-Media, Golf Punk was off the shelves until its return in April this year.

The latest ABC data, for the January to December 2008 period, shows that Golf Punk had a total circulation of 14,928.
