NRS Newspaper Section Research

The NRS has decided to commission research into the readership of newspaper sections. The board has decided that a separate survey is needed, as there are difficulties involved in measuring section readership using recall prompt cards, as in the NRS main survey.

Roger Beeson commented that he was “pleased with the decision, to work off- survey, as it should speed up the process of producing a measure of the readership of sections.”

The NRS board is now seeking funding from its member bodies to carry out this work.
