ITV1’s Dancing on Ice triumphed in the TV ratings battle last night, with a peak of 9.9 million watching the first of two Sunday night shows.
The first instalment of Dancing on Ice, on from 7pm to 8.15pm, picked up a 37.4% share of the audience, while the skate-off, which saw Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett voted off the show, picked up a peak of eight million.
The skate-off show, on from 9.15pm to 10pm, grabbed a 32% share of the audience.
The build up to Comic Relief continued apace on BBC One on Saturday, with Let’s Dance for Comic Relief pulling in a peak of 7.7 million viewers – a 34% audience share – from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
Over on ITV1, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway had a peak audience of 6.3 million viewers tuning in to catch the Geordie funsters.
On Friday evening, Live Six Nations Rugby Union on BBC Two performed well. The coverage, of France v Wales in Paris, saw a peak audience of five million viewers – a 22.2% share – tune in to the action, which ended with a frantic finale as France ran out winners on home turf.
