Living’s Jade attracted over 416,000 viewers on her wedding day

Jade Goody Living’s controversial reality programme following Jade Goody attracted more than 416,000 peak viewers on Sunday, which was also the day of her wedding to on-off boyfriend Jack Tweed.

Almost 240,000 average viewers (a share of 0.99%) tuned in to see the episode of Jade between 8pm and 9pm last night, which was actually filmed two weeks ago when the star found out that her cancer had spread and is now terminal.

Living TV secured the rights to film Goody’s wedding, which took place at a country house hotel near her home in Essex yesterday.

Kate Jackson from ITV production company Granada Media North, who was also bridesmaid at the ceremony, filmed the wedding for Living, though no date has been set for the transmission of the show as yet.

ITV1 did manage to temporarily win over the peak audience during the second half of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, which guest-starred Ricky Gervais and Take That – attracting more than 7 million peak viewers.
