Cinema Admissions Fall In July

Cinema admissions fell in July, with the average weekly admissions figure down by 28.3% year-on-year to 2.09m. This apparent large fall in admissions is deceptive, as last July’s admissions were exceptionally high due to the release of the blockbuster Jurassic Park.

August’s admissions are likely to be more encouraging, as this summer’s major release The Flintstones hit the cinemas at the end of July.
