  • Nevis Radio, the new ILR station covering Fort William, is to go on air on July 25 with a mix of chart, gold and rock music. The station is handling advertising sales in house. Nevis Radio – 0397 700007
  • Q102.9FM, which has won the licence for Londonderry is to launch on October 21. The station’s advertising sales are being handled by Gary Hill Media.

  • Virgin is expected to bid for one of the London ILR licences in June following the Radio Authority’s failure to grant a new national FM service.
  • Metro Radio is also planning to bid for one of the London licences next month. It will offer a soft rock format.

  • Scot FM, the holder of the new regional licence covering central Scotland, has appointed Media Sales and Marketing to handle its sales.

  • Country 1035, a new London station launching in August, has appointed Gerard Bridges as commercial director. Bridges, former Capital Radio group sales manager, will co-ordinate sales, promotions and sponsorship.
