YTTV has announced results for the year to September 30 1993. Losses were lower than expected; the pre-tax loss was £7.88m, on turnover of £236.8m.
The final audited advertising sales figure of £150m was £34m less than the forecast given at the beginning of the year, and £20m less than what the board was told in the closing weeks of the year.
It appears that YTTV would have been able to report a profit of between £10m and £15m had the results not been overshadowed by the sales fiasco.
