Compaq has signed a major sponsorship deal with Queens Park Rangers football club. The personal computer manufacturer has signed a three year contract with the club, described as the biggest in the club’s history. Compaq, which has never sponsored a football club before, takes over from smaller computer outfit CSF.
Coors Lager has announced that it is to sponsor Chelsea football team in a three year deal worth £2m. Coors will take over from Amiga.
Molson, the Canadian brewer has signed a deal worth over £350,000 to sponsor Ladbrokes’ results service during the 1994 World Cup. Results, odds and interviews will be “brought to” Ladbrokes’ shops by Molson. Ladbrokes claims it is a first of its kind in this country.
