London Radio Licences – Applications In By Today

The closing time for the bidders for the three FM and AM London ILR licences is 2pm today. So far this morning the Radio Authority has received only 10 applications, although they are expecting the majority between 12 and 1pm today. In total around 50 groups are expected to apply.

Richard Branson’s Virgin is among the bidders for an FM frequency. There are four new frequencies on offer; the remaining two are those held by Capital, who are expected to be successful in their bid to retain them.
