WPP Reports Rise In Venues

WPP, the advertising group which owns JWT, O&M and Millward Brown revealed at its annual meeting that world wide revenues in constant currencies were up 3% in the first five months of 1994.

Stronger than average performances were seen in Britain, Asia Pacific and Latin America; however the United States and Canada were below average.

Advertising revenues were up by more than 1%, market research by almost 10%, non-media activities by almost 6%, and specialist communications by more than 5%. JWT’s revenues rose by more than 2% in the first five months of 1994; O&M’s revenues remained constant.
