Airtime sales for London News Radio will be handled by IRS when the station takes over from LBC in October. IRS currently handles airtime sales for LBC and the contract will continue, according to a spokesman at IRS.
RADIO TAKEOVER BID BATTLE
East Anglia Radio has this week put in a bid for more than £1m for Mid Anglia Radio. This bid, which is likely to be contested by GWR, was not unexpected: East Anglia was in talks with Mid Anglia last year.
Capital earlier this week made an agreed bid for the Southern Radio group, for £32.6m. (Newsline 5/4/94).
