Following rumours in the trade press over plans to extend Coronation Street to four nights a week, it has been confirmed that ITV and Granada are in “advanced discussion” – believed to be finalising the proposed extra slot.
According to press speculation no decision has been made on which night the new episode will run, but either Thursday or Saturday nights are favourites. The rumoured additional episode is believed to be planned for next autumn.
