BT Shop Opens On Internet
BT is the latest big corporation to create new Internet facilities, taking space at the BarclaySquare shopping mall. BT has opened a shop which allows users to purchase any of a number of products by credit card.
Users can browse through BT products, clicking on each to get more information and then can order by credit card on-line. Future plans include the introduction of BT’s Select Services and the inclusion of a BT shop on their own web pages. Stuart Wright, Marketing Manager of BT’s Personal Communications Channel Development Group said, ‘Since its launch in May, customer reaction to BarclaySquare has been very impressive with more than 500,000 pages of information accessed by Internet shoppers.’
BT’s home page itself includes a wealth of information, from news about BT, details about the BT Global Challenge yacht race, technical information, and broadcast services; it is worth investigating. The BarclaySquare shopping mall also includes sites for Toys’R’Us, Interflora, Eurostar, and Victoria Wine.
